The Committee on Matters of Pensioners, Veterans and Persons with Disabilities upholds the draft law on amendments to the Criminal Code of Ukraine (re strengthening criminal responsibility for crimes committed against persons with disabilities)

It is necessary to adopt this bill (Reg. No. 4899) in view of the need for strengthening criminal responsibility for crimes committed against people who can not defend them due to their health condition.

In order to ensure efficient prevention of crimes against persons with disabilities the bill suggests amending:

article 67 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine;

articles 121, 122, 124-128 and 365 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
